Dogs like children are boundary pushers. Draw a line in the sand and watch a dog or child push to walk over it. It’s natural and normal actually. What are the boundaries or rules here? Who is enforcing them? What is the consequence of breaking the rule or boundary? All these tests are natural so a dog or child can feel safe or “in charge” ( another form of safety for some ). If you are training or teaching your dog a rule or boundary but you do not enforce it, why would she follow the rule? If your dog is misbehaving maybe the focus should be on ourselves. Most people in The Woodlands who are looking for a dog trainer are actually hoping the trainer will stop the misbehaving dog from, misbehaving. But the real training begins by teaching the dogs owners how to enforce the boundaries and be a good leader.
